Enough Said Poetry Slam Benefit Gig
22nd January 2017 @ 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Wollongong’s Enough Said Poetry Slam is in town for their first ever Writers’ Retreat!!
They’re all penniless (but wonderful) poets, so they’re raising money for their retreat accommodation costs by holding a benefit gig at the wonderfully hospitable Friendly Inn!
Come along for a chill Sunday arvo poetry-fest featuring performances and readings from Wollongong’s best spoken word artists including slammasters Lorin Elizabeth, Kurt Pimblett, Bella Luna and Emily Crocker! They’ll be debuting some brand new poems written during the retreat plus some favourites from 2016.
Tickets are very limited so pre-book yours now!! You can also donate to the cause if you’re feeling extra amazing <3
Each donation over $5 recieves a complimentary ticket to an Enough Said Poetry Slam show in 2017.
Each donation over $50 recieves a personal poem written during the writers’ retreat + a complimentary ticket to an Enough Said Poetry Slam show in 2017.
Enough Said has been running monthly slams on the last Thursday of the month in Wollongong since 2012. In 2016 they sent a representative to the NSW Final of Australian Poetry Slam, versed Mic Check Poetry Slam from Texas, USA as part of the Wollongong Writers Festival and hosted an event in the new Wollongong Fringe Festival. Anyone can come along to Enough Said and sign up to share their words in the slam.
